Modi said that in the course of on a single day, in the form of the bridge over river Brahmaputra and an Agricultural Research Institute in Goghmukh, Assam got projects worth Rs 3,500 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Dhola-Sadia Bridge, the country's longest river bridge, over the Lohit in the eastern most tip of Assam connecting Arunachal Pradesh. Highlighting the government's achievements, Shah said, "In three years, PM Modi changed the way India thinks, changed politics by plucking nepotism, appeasement out".

Sharing the social initiatives of the government, the BJP president said the government had given constitutional status to the OBC commission for empowerment of backward classes and distributed various assistive devices for disabled persons across the country. Apart from the Dhola-Sadiya bridge, SAIL steel has also been used for constructing the Bogibeel Rail-cum-Road bridge, several power plants including 750 MW power plant of NTPC & 600 MW Kameng Hydro-electric project, Trans Arunachal highway etc. which all are very important projects for the region.

After the exit of Barack Obama, PM Narendra Modi is the world's most popular political leader on Twitter as well.

"Connectivity has always been a problem in the Northeast region".

"What Atalji dreamt for the northeast is being completed by the BJP government in last three years". To develop water transport on the Brahmaputra, the dredging of the river would be started soon, he added.

Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chouna Mein, Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain, State ministers Parimal Shukla Baidya, Pallablochan Das, MPs Pradan Baruah, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and Rameswar Teli, Sadiya MLA Bolin Chetia and State Chief Secretary VK Pipersenia attended the bridge inauguration ceremony. In the upstream after 120 km there is a bridge available for crossing the same but it travels through hard hilly terrain on north bank.

The bridge, which can bear the weight of a 60-tonne battle tank, will provide a road-link to various strategic locations in the region and make civil and military logistics movement easier for Arunachal's Anini, some 100 km from the China border.
