Washington- A defiant, tearful Kathy Griffin said Friday that she regretted making a photo of herself holding a mask that looked like President Trump's bloody severed head, but she wasn't going to stop criticizing the president or fighting for others to do so.

Baldwin, who has often impersonated Trump in his "Saturday Night Live" skits, did not mince his words.

Alec then reminisced that he was in a similar position once - the political controversy he dealt with in 1998 - when he joked about Henry Hyde on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. "I believe that he is anyway", Behar said.

Alec Baldwin took to Twitter to publicly defend Kathy Griffin, saying no one believed the comedian meant to threaten President Donald Trump.

"I'm not laying down for this guy", she said in one defiant moment. We're serious!' No one.

'But all your gutless, weasels in the GOP insisted that I actually threatened Hyde'.

Singer Demi Lovato, who's clashed with Griffin in the past, tweeted "I find it amusing when bullies play the victims". "He's a bully", she said.

"Kathy.f-k them", he tweeted. "Trump is such a senile idiot, all he has is Twitter fights", Baldwin wrote. "(Is that yet another right-wing conspiracy!?) Sadly, I believe she started down that road of ruin in 2007", Pierce added.

Well, according to Page Six, sources claim that not only does Griffin feel "betrayed" by Cooper for not sticking up for her, but that Cooper is pushing to bring on a close friend to take over Griffin's old role. CNN shouldn't have let her go'. She switched between contriteness to combativeness during the press conference, during which she attempted several nervous jokes that drew laughs mostly from her attorney, Lisa Bloom.

Kathy Griffin in tears. "The way I see it, they're getting a taste of their own medicine".

As long as Griffin never accompanied the gruesome photos with verbal or written threats, McKenna says the celebrity is in the clear. Perhaps most importantly, this is not the first instance of inconsiderate behavior on Griffin's part.

'I've had everybody turn on me.

The President tweeted about how the disturbing photo has given both him and his family, including his 11-year-old son Barron, a "hard time".
