Yankees' Judge, Sanchez to compete in Home Run Derby

Something wouldn't have felt right if Aaron Judge skipped this year's Home Run Derby. The way Judge has started this season, he has a chance to be the face of the game rather quickly, and it may even lead to some casual fans of the game getting more into baseball seeing Judge and Stanton hit the ball a long way.

Sanchez and Judge will be looking to become the fourth Yankee to ever win the Home Run Derby, joining Tino Martinez (1997), Jason Giambi (2002) and Robinson Cano (2011).

Aaron Judge dented a metal casement above a door behind the left-center field wall at Yankee Stadium with his major league-leading 28th home run of the season. We've got a good group of guys going.

"Yes, we will see you in Miami", Sanchez said. Mark McGwire has the most first-half home runs by a rookie with 33 for the Oakland Athletics in 1987.

Judge, who has a league-leading 27 home runs, was voted into his first All-Star game on Sunday.

It's the first time Judge has won Player of the Month.

Judge continues to gain accolades for his stellar rookie season.

The adrenaline, the spotlight and the give-and-take with Judge will change the dynamic, and Sanchez - who belted 20 homers in 53 games as a rookie last summer - is ready for the challenge.

Sanchez has 13 home runs and 40 RBIs on the season. He now leads the majors in all three triple-crown categories.
