Mayweather, McGregor wrap up promotional tour

Floyd Mayweather Jr. caught a lot of heat on Friday, during the last stop of his four city media tour to promote next month's showdown with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

"You punk. You f**got".

In terms of the week itself, the UFC lightweight champion discussed the differences between the four nights, with Toronto on Wednesday night seemingly the standout for him - and while the next night in Brooklyn was heavily criticised and McGregor himself conceded that while there was not the same "pop" from the night itself, the iconic images that have come from it, in his view, made it worthwhile. They cheered loudly for the Irish superstar, while doing their best to drawn out Floyd Mayweather every time he spoke.

At this point we're really excited for this fight because the sooner it happens the sooner it will be over and the sooner McGregor and Mayweather can shut up for a while. Mayweather used numerous same insults he's already fired off this week but things were escalated towards the end of the event when he called McGregor an anti-gay slur. Floyd has nothing against gays or lesbians at all.

According to TMZ, Conor's "monkey" comment was off the mic.

'All of the media seem to be saying that I am against black people.

The tour ended today with more insults being hurled, and some being recycled, as Mayweather once again brought out his backpack to remind McGregor how much money he has earned in his career.

McGregor was unaware that Mayweather even used the word during the verbal back and forth. By the time the tour was over, it felt like a exhausted routine that went on two days too long. Mayweather will look to move his professional boxing record to a flawless 50-0, while McGregor will make his boxing debut.

McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) and Mayweather (49-0 boxing) face off August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a pay-per-view event expected to be the most lucrative prize fight of all time.
