On the software front, the Gionee X1 runs on the company's Amigo 4.0 UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat and offers added features like quick app switching, multi-window feature, and more. The LED flash on the rear also features IR blaster for controlling the home electronics like TV and AC.

Gionee today launched a new "X series" smartphone in India, dubbed the X1. The smartphone features a 5 inch HD IPS display, fingerprint sensor and 8 MP rear and front camera on the device.

The phone is available for purchase at all leading offline retailers. To capture a selfie, users can simply place their finger on the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. We are not so sure the Gionee X1 may make it past Nougat.

RAM and Internal Storage of Gionee X1 - Talking about the RAM and storage of the phone the phone comes with 2GB RAM. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and comes coupled with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. Also, every purchase of Gionee X1 will be accompanied with 2 PayTM Cashback Vouchers Codes entitling customers with INR 250 cashback on a minimum purchase of INR 350 on PayTM Mall. The Gionee X1 comes with a metallic unibody design and 2.5D curved glass on the front. It also has 8 megapixels front camera with front LED flash. Dimension wise, the handset measures at 144.3 x 72.2 x 8.8mm. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Global Positioning System. One can count on the accelerometer, light sensor, gyroscope, gravity and proximity sensor as the sensors fitted on the new Gionee X1.
