Malaysia Grand Prix Will Be Hard To Replace - Hamilton

Hamilton takes a 28-point lead into this weekend's race in Sepang.

"I don't remember the last time he has faltered under pressure, so I don't know how he will react and if he feels pressure".

Mercedes has the upper hand and Vettel's margin for error is increasingly small and can not afford another blip in Malaysia where the intense heat and stifling humidity make it one of Formula One's toughest races.

But Hamilton said he had "not spent a second thinking" about when he might clinch his fourth title.

Sebastian Vettel is wasting no energy in his title fight with Lewis Hamilton. "But there are lots of turning points within a year, and I'm trying to make sure that is the last one". We have a strong vehicle.

"My victory previous year in Malaysia was definitely unexpected", said Ricciardo, who was second in Singapore.

"Now there is a clear advantage for Lewis so it is a risky situation for Vettel".

Last weekend more than 150 National Football League players took a defiant stance, kneeling, linking arms or raising clenched fists during the playing of the "Star-Spangled Banner" before games.

No one has won at Sepang as many times as the German, who triumphed three times for Red Bull before winning for Ferrari in 2015 - his first race victory for the Italian marque.

But Vettel refused to be drawn into a discussion of the incident.

"It's a shame we couldn't score points with both cars as we all felt it was really deserved; Fernando was very unlucky, but we head to Kuala Lumpur with a bit more confidence and the objective of keeping this momentum going".

On the Singapore collision, Vettel said: "I think it would have been more hard if I had lost the auto somewhere in the race, then it's obviously different". We did our start, everyone was trying to do his start and it ended up pretty bad for all three of us and that was it. Probably won't be the last.

"But again, I've not really thought about it". "Two numbers we looked at, spectators going to the track and TV ratings", said Razali.

"Looking at the upcoming tracks, it might be tricky at some, but I'm positive we can hold it".

Asked about his comments on the opening day of the Malaysia GP weekend, Hamilton did not elaborate on Vettel specifically, but said: "We all have weak spots and part of the process of fighting a competitor is always to try and find the exposed areas".
