"Lombardo also said that Paddock rented a room via Airbnb the weekend before which overlooked the" Life is Beautiful" music festival in Las Vegas. CBS News confirms Marilou Danley was on Philippine Airlines Flight 102.

"There are reports her ID was used for booking the hotel or some such detail", Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said.

Danley arrived back in the USA from her native country - the Philippines - Tuesday night.

Speaking at a press conference, Lombardo said there is evidence that suggests Paddock, who lived locally, may have planned to escape Mandalay Bay after the rampage. According to Denley's sisters, she's just as shocked as the rest of us.

The U.S. source said Danley was not under arrest, but that the Federal Bureau of Investigation hoped she would consent to be interviewed voluntarily.

The Philippines' National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said the FBI, its U.S. counterpart, had sought help in finding Danley.

"It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone", Marilou Danley said. She was given a ticket to the Philippines by Paddock.

Marilou Danley is in communication with authorities in the United States over the Las Vegas shooting.

Paddock opened fire on a crowd of concertgoers from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday night, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more. "Currently she is a person of interest".

Ms Danley issued a statement after reports emerged that her boyfriend had wired $100,000 to the Philippines while she was overseas.

Police continue the investigation as the motive remains a mystery.

Danley has released a statement to say she had no idea Paddock - who she described as "quiet and kind" - had been preparing to commit an atrocity.

One of Danley's sisters, who asked not to be named, told a CNN affiliate in Australia that Danley did not know where she was going when Paddock, 64, told her to leave the country.

Eric Paddock, the youngest brother of Stephen Paddock, told The New York Times that his brother loved and doted on Ms Danley.

"You've got to make the assumption he had to have some help at some point".
